A year of Rain (Daedalic Entertainment)
A Year of Rain (AYOR) was a fantasy RTS built in Unreal using Wwise as our middleware.
The game was going to be the next Warcraft, aiming high and being bold to enter the RTS scene. We had a great team energy on AYOR and many creative ideas during development - the most fun I have had on a project from the start!
We did some placeholder voice overs for the different units before we went to the recording studio and some of our team mates had a lot of potentials as voice over artists. We also partnered up with some German RTS casters to host some internal tournaments with big RTS names partaking.
Unfortunately the game did not do well on launch (Early Access) and the servers were shut down. But there are some moments in the campaign that will forever stay in my heart.
